First World Cup's Keirin Silver for Malaysia


COPENHAGEN- for the first time, Malaysia bring home a silver medal from keirin category in World Track Cycling Championships. Mohd Azizulhasni Awang make the nation proud as the runner up to Chris Hoy in this keirin event. the third place was Germany cyclist, Maximilian Levy. Azizulhasni is the first Malaysian to win the UCI Track Cycling World Championships medal after snatching silver medal in men's print category in 2009 World Championship.

"What is important is determination and the will to succeed," he said in a statement to BERNAMA today adding that his win was also evidence that being married would not be an obstacle for him to work hard.He also said that the size is not the reason to freak out.

Azizulhasni set to win another medal in this World Cup by trying to finish on podium spot on 200m sprint event with his teammate, Josiah Ng on this Sunday.
