ALOR STAR - Kedah will not reintroduce local government elections although other Pakatan Rakyat-ruled states are keen to restore the third vote.Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Razak said the current practice of having political appointees as councillors served Kedah fine and therefore, should continue.
He said:
"I do not see the need to restore local council elections; it's easier to get things done as councillors are our own people."
